Olympus Technologies’ Cobot Welding System has been designed to work with a number of manufacturers’ power sources. Currently our solution integrates to a range of ESAB, EWM, Kemppi, GYS and Fronius power sources.
Olympus’ software plug-in (URCap) takes control of the features of each power source, to enable us to pass control of the power source to the robot teach pendant. This means that proven welding parameters are locked into the welding program on the robot, and avoids the opportunity for operators changing parameters when running batches of parts.
Different manufacturers offer greater or lesser control of the full range of power source features, and Olympus can advise on this, and identify the best power source for your requirements.
Olympus is always willing to work with additional power source manufacturers, providing the manufacturer can offer a digital interface that we can interface to.
